Applicants may apply at the courthouse in any county within PA.
The application does not need to be made in the county of residence or where the ceremony will be performed.
There is no special requirement for applicants not living in PA.
Each county’s website lists the requirements to obtain a marriage license.
Marriage licenses are valid for 60 days from date of issuance and may be used anywhere in PA.
PA law requires a minimum 3-day waiting period after application is made before license can be issued.
