We publicly come together at Funerals, Memorial Services and Celebrations of Life to honor the person who has passed, as well as grieve and give support to one another during a very difficult time.
By learning about your loved one, I will personalize and preside over whichever service you choose that will respect the wishes of the deceased as well as your own needs and traditions. What better way to pay tribute to that singular life than by gathering together to remember, or perhaps hear for the first time, stories about your loved one, reinforcing values and ideals that they lived by, and be consoled with hand-picked prayers, songs, poetry, and scripture.
For some, planning your own service ahead of time is a way to make your final wishes known. This gives you the autonomy to choose readings, music, poetry or scripture verses to be used, taking the burden off your loved ones when they are most deeply grieving. I can help you make your selections, and would gladly read something you have written, in order to provide the maximum consolation to your family and friends.
If you cannot or do not want to plan the service at all, I can still preside at a service for you. With some information from your loved ones, I will create a service that honors and respects you and your faith tradition.
Rev. Laura- I wanted to thank you again for the memorial service you conducted for my uncle. The opportunity for all of us to verbalize our feelings about him gave us a comforting remembrance. Since he did not want to have a funeral your service gave us the much needed closure on a very unexpected death. Joe B.
Thank you for the exceptional memorial service you performed for our brother, Tom. Yolanda T.
I just wanted to thank you again for today. There were so many positive comments and everyone appreciated the program you presented. I think my mom would have been very pleased with the day. Marlene F., Branchburg, NJ

REFLECTION
GOD’S BUCKET
If this world was not held in God’s bucket,
How could an ocean stand upside down
On its head and never lose a drop?
If your life was not contained in God’s cup,
How could you be so brave and laugh,
Dance in the face of death?
Hafiz,
There is a private chamber in the soul,
That knows a great secret
Of which no tongue can speak.
Your existence, my dear,
O love my dear,
Has been sealed and marked,
“Too sacred,” “too sacred,”
by the Beloved – To ever end!
Indeed God has written a thousand promises
All over your heart, that say,
Life, life, life is far too sacred
to Ever end.
Hafiz
